The summer holidays in Cape Town (and I know that there are people freezing in the cold in the northern hemisphere) are a busy time for family photography. Over the years, a growing number of overseas visitors contracted Jürgen’s Photography for fun family portraits. As you know, I love working on location with my clients. Summer and location quickly translates into a family portrait session at the beach (though, Cape Town has so many more interesting locations, where I photograph children, families and individuals). Beach means fun, sunshine, sometimes lots of sand blowing onto the equipment and of course salt water. Very often, I find myself standing in the ocean and only realizing that I have my iPhone in a pocket of my pants, when the water is almost at waist level…
This family session was great fun. Everyone participated in the fun and was young at heart. I don’t experience too often that families are willing to run through the water for a family portrait. Great fun. @andrevr assisted me on this shoot and protected my iPhone when I was standing in the water. He has a great understanding on where I need the flashes during the shoot, which makes the experience for everyone involved very pleasant.
